The Maricopa County Events Center is a 7,034-seat facility, located in the heart
of Sun City West servicing all of Phoenix's metropolitan area. The venue was constructed
in 1980 and donated to Arizona State University (ASU) in 1984 as part of its Centennial
Campaign. Maricopa County took over ownership of the facility from ASU in 2005,
and Nederlander Concerts took over the management
of the venue in January of 2006.
Known as the largest single level performing arts theater in the world, the venue
has played host to many renowned headline performers. Under Nederlander’s management,
the Maricopa County Events Center will continue to bring exciting live entertainment
to the area with Broadway touring productions, musical acts, and cultural events.
The 2006 season featured world class shows including Johnny Mathis, Bob Dylan, the
CATS 25th Anniversary Tour, Gipsy Kings, Paul Simon, James Gang, James Brown,
and Pepe Aguilar just to name a few.
The Maricopa County Events Center is available for rent for both private and public
